男人最怕的是什麼？最怕的是辜負了一份深情，最怕的是和心愛的人在一起以後讓她陪著自己過苦日子，不能給她好的照顧，眼看著她過的辛苦而自己卻束手無策。然後，她仍然對你有信心，仍然相信你會成功，仍然覺得你真的很棒。

當你為了賺點小錢忙到深夜回家，捨不得吵醒她，在黑暗中悄悄換衣服時，她醒了，她只是把她所有的關心用小小的聲音說“你今天晚上還好嗎？”來表示。這樣子，男人心中是很內疚的，也是很捨不得的。

如果在落魄時，她偶而也會難過流淚，可是她不會因此叫你做這做那；如果明天一早你要做個困難的抉擇，夜深了你還拿不定主意，她也不會干涉你，只是要你想好了可以隨時叫醒她，她想要和你分享。然後，她說她對你有信心。

這首英文歌中，用believe in 和 faith，這兩個字在宗教上是對上帝的信任和信心，有把自己交付給上帝的那種情意和感覺（在天主教不稱為religious 而稱為believe）。而女生這樣把自己託付給了男生。在歌中，男生說：我曾經說只要妳成為我的女孩，我可以用我的歌來改變這個世界，但是我錯了，我沒做到。

可是妳仍然對我有信心，所以我就用妳給我的信心繼續找尋自己的路。或許，因為有妳給我這樣的信心，在某一天我真的會成功。

然後男生自己對自己說：我將永遠不知道她是怎麼樣看待我瞭解我的，為什麼這麼愛我。（因為我是個不能給她什麼的人。她把自己交給我的這份真心，我將無法形容，也覺得自己不值得她對我這麼好。）而我只有深深的感激，在歌聲中，在我一言一語中。
